HOW IT WORKS
Know what to expect at every step.
From booking through your final report, you will work directly with Dr. Bell. He reviews your records, intake form, and other materials before you meet, explains how he understands your claim, and shapes the evaluation around what your claim needs.

01 / BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT Good preparation starts before you meet.
We make the first steps clear and easy. You choose the evaluation time that works for you, access your own secure portal, tell us about your claim, and share your records. Dr. Bell confirms location eligibility, conflicts of interest and the evaluation’s scope before proceeding.
Choose your appointment
Pick a date and time that works for you. The evaluation costs $750. A $500 deposit confirms your selected appointment. The remaining $250 is due when your report is completed. You may also pay the full $750 at booking, after selecting the date and time. We will send your invoice, receipt, and confirmation.
Open your secure portal
Create your password. Your portal gives you one secure place for forms, records, messages, invoices, appointments, and your final report.
Tell us about your claim
Complete a short intake about your claim, health history, and military service. You will also read and sign the consent form.
Upload your records
Share VA letters, prior exams, medical records, and other helpful files. If you are not sure what to send, we will help you identify what matters. Please upload your records through the secure portal three business days before the evaluation. Dr. Bell reviews late-arriving records case by case.
Choose your reminders
Choose one appointment reminder option: email, text message (SMS), phone call, or opt out. Our system sends only the administrative reminders you select, and you may change your preferences later.
02 / UNDERSTANDING YOUR CLAIM
Your answers help Dr. Bell focus the evaluation.
Your intake helps show which clinical question may need to be answered. It is a starting point—not a test, diagnosis, or final decision.
New claim
Did the condition begin during service or result from something that happened during service?
Example: PTSD after combat or another traumatic event
Linked condition
Was a mental health condition caused or made worse by another service-connected condition?
Example: depression linked to tinnitus or chronic pain
Increase
Has an already service-connected mental health condition gotten worse?
Example: greater effects on daily life, relationships, or work
Prior denial
What did VA say was missing, unclear, or not supported in the earlier decision?
Example: a diagnosis, link, or clear clinical reason
03 / PREPARED BEFORE YOU MEET You will not have to start from zero.
Dr. Bell reviews your records, intake form, and other materials before your appointment.
After introductions, he will give you a brief overview of what he reviewed and how he understands your claim. You can correct anything, add what may be missing, and ask questions before moving into the evaluation.
This helps make sure your evaluation is focused on your needs and your claim. It also lets you know that Dr. Bell came prepared.
04 / YOUR EVALUATION
A focused conversation at a respectful pace.
Meet with Dr. Bell by secure video. Most evaluations last about 60 minutes.
These exams may cover personal or difficult experiences. Dr. Bell will explain what to expect, listen carefully, and guide the conversation at a respectful pace. You may ask questions, correct something, or request a short break at any time.
05 / FROM EVIDENCE TO REPORT
The report is built from the full picture.
Dr. Bell personally reviews the evidence, interprets the findings, and writes every report and opinion he signs. The report states what the clinical evidence supports. VANP is self-pay and does not take insurance. The veteran or their representative submits the report to VA. The practice does not automatically file a claim and does not guarantee a claim outcome.
